And now, people are flooding him with support and good wishes after news broke out that he is suffering from severe injuries he sustained during a car accident.
Last Sunday, September 1, 2019, the comedian-actor was rushed to the hospital after his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda tumbled over into an embankment, according to California Highway Patrol, reported the BBC. The 40-year-old entertainer was in the passenger seat while the driver was a man named Jared Black. A third person, Rebecca Broxterman, Jared's fiance was sitting in the car as well, according to Today.
In the accident, both Jared and Kevin were severely injured, sustaining "major back injuries" while Rebecca was less injured. According to CNN, the car was a birthday gift from Kevin to himself on his 40th birthday. That day, he posted a picture of him with it on Instagram with the caption, "I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th....welcome home 'Menace.'"
After being rushed to the hospital, the father-of-three was immediately taken into surgery on Sunday evening. Thankfully, the doctors claimed that his back surgery was successful, according to TMZ. In another report by TMZ, the impact of the accident was monumental, wherein the roof was completely crushed. It was so bad that the fire department needed to saw off the roof in order to reach the people inside the car, where they found Jared pinned in his seat.
Despite the devastation of the accident, people have hope that Kevin Hart is on the road to recovery. His wife Eniko Hart boosted that faith when she said that her husband is "going to be just fine," after the surgery. "He's fine, he's awake," she told TMZ.
Ever since the news of his accident broke out, people have not stopped sending support for the beloved comedian's quick and healthy recovery. Among those people were some celebrities as well.
Actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who has strong chemistry and friendship with Kevin, according to Cheat Sheet, wrote, "Stop messing with my emotions brother @kevinhart4real. We have a lot more laughing to do together. Love you man. Stay strong."
Malcolm in the Middle actor, Bryan Cranston said, "I’ve just heard that @kevinhart4real was injured today in a car accident in Los Angeles. Let’s all send him positive energy and healing thoughts. He’s a good human. Get well soon, brother. B," while television personality, Martha Stewart took to Twitter and wrote, "Best wishes to Kevin Hart I hope he will be okay after his horrific accident."
Actress Salma Hayek sent her support and love as well, saying, "@kevinhart4real we love you and we are praying for you." Comedian Arsenio Hall said, "The car can be replaced. But the comedy world could never replace @kevinhart4real!" while rapper T.I. posted on Instagram his own support:
