The couple met while Kris Jenner was dating pro golfer Cesar Sanudo.
Kris Jenner is known as the mother of six extremely popular and successful children, daughters Kourtney, 41; Kim, 40; Khloé, 36; Kendal, 25, and Kylie, 23, and son Rob, 33. Even before she and her kids gained overnight success with the show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the Kardashian family gained notoriety after her first husband, defense attorney and businessman Robert Kardashian, defended the former NFL player O.J. Simpson. Jenner and her late ex-husband first came to the media's notice when Simpson was accused of murdering his wife and her friend.
Though the world thought that Jenner's life was as perfect as it could be, she did make some mistakes that she regrets.
Known for being a dedicated momager, Jenner married Kardashian when she was just 22 years old. But it all began in the spring of 1973. Jenner, who was then known as Kristen Mary Houghton, was just 17 when she started dating pro golfer Cesar Sanudo. Once when the golfer was out of town, Jenner met 28-year-old Kardashian at a racetrack. Since she was in a committed relationship, things didn't move forward even though for Kardashian, it was love at first sight, reported Cheat Sheet.
However, since Sanudo was mostly on the road, Jenner got to spend more time with Kardashian, and it's during one of these meetups that the pro golfer walked in on both of them. Although in Jenner's words “things were not pretty,” it still marked as the beginning of her relationship with the hot-shot lawyer.
Jenner, who was then working as a flight attendant for American Airlines became Kardashian's dream woman. He proposed to her but faced Jenner's rejection since she wanted to see more of the world. But the second time he got down on one knee, she accepted. Right after marriage, they moved to Beverly Hills and welcomed their four kids, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Robert Jr.
Things didn't remain the way they were for too long. Just a little more than a decade after her marriage to Kardashian, Jenner began an affair with soccer player Todd Waterman. In her 2011 memoir, Kris Jenner…And All Things Kardashian, she revealed about her affair which led to the divorce from Kardashian.
"We dated for four years, got married at 22, sooner or later during my life when I was in my 30s, I had an affair and my biggest regret was the fact that it broke up my family," Jenner revealed during Diane Von Furstenberg‘s podcast, InCharge With DVF, as per PerezHilton. When Kardashian found about it, he filed for a divorce.
"I didn’t know what to do. I had four kids, I was single. I didn’t know where I was going to live, I didn’t know what I was going to do," she continued, "I didn’t know how I was going to make a living. It was the scariest time to be that young. I think I was 32 years old, and I had four children. My son was maybe a year old and it was scary. I was really, really scared."
Expressing her gratitude to the Almighty, she added, "I remember picking myself up by my bootstraps one day. I have deep faith in God. I just started praying that God would just strengthen me, give me that power, give me the ability to be in charge of my own life. It was my turn to really grow up."
Even though her life had turned upside down, she saw a glimmer of hope in getting a grip on her life after she met someone and decided to grow old with. It was Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner. According to Cheat Sheet, she met the former Olympian in 1990, and just five months after they met, they tied the knot. After a few more years, the couple welcomed Kendall and Kylie.
However, in 2014, after 23 years of marriage, the couple separated and finally got divorced in 2015. Revealing the reason for their split, a source told People, “Bruce lost his voice and his opinion with Kris.” The source added, “Sometimes he would mention that it bothered him, but most of the time he wouldn’t say anything, so Kris just went about living how she was and treating him that way."
Since then, Kris Jenner has been dating Corey Gamble.
