The couple first dated each other more than 3 decades ago but new husband Jon Peters revealed that he always and only wanted to be with Anderson.
Congratulatory messages rang loudly across tinsel town when the news of Pamela Anderson's marriage broke. The evergreen beauty tied the knot with Jon Peters, the producer of the Oscar-winning movie A Star Is Born, on January 20, 2020, reports The Hollywood Reporter. While many seem to be surprised by their liaison, it was not really unpredictable.
According to HELLO! Jon, 74, first dated Pamela after they met at the Playboy Mansion in the mid-1980s. Reminiscing their first meet, Peters had told THR at the time, “I walked in and saw this little angel sitting at the bar. It was Pammy. She was like 19. I knew she would be a big star."
"We ended up living together," he added. "Pamela was a girl who with no makeup was gorgeous. She was very smart and very talented." Peters believed in Anderson from the very beginning, in fact, he had paid for her acting and dance lessons when she started out, as per THR. He also helped launch her onscreen career, first in television on Home Improvement and as lifeguard C.J. Parker on the international hit Baywatch and later in the film Barb Wire. Peters later proposed to Anderson but she had turned it down.
Fast forward, after a few marriages and subsequent divorces, they reunited in recent months but kept their whirlwind romantic relationship under wraps, even their January 20, 2020, Malibu wedding that has become the new talk of the town. Following their wedding, Peters revealed that he never fell out of love from Anderson and expressed his deep admiration for her.
“Pamela has never seen her full potential as an artist. She has yet to shine in a real way. There is much more to her than meets the eye, or I wouldn’t love her so much,” Peters told THR. “There are beautiful girls everywhere. I could have my pick, but -- for 35 years -- I’ve only wanted Pamela. She makes me wild -- in a good way. She inspires me. I protect her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated.”
And Pamela responded to this with a deeply romantic poem she wrote for Peters.
“Jon is the original ‘bad boy’ of Hollywood -
no one compares -
I love him deeply like family.
His life used to scare me.
So much for a girl like me.
Now I’ve seen more of life
and realize ..
He’s been there all along.
Never failed me -
I’m ready now
he’s ready too -
and respect each other -
We love each other
without conditions. -
I’m a lucky woman. -
God has a plan”
It is indeed a dream come true moment for both the lovers who finally made each other their own. This again proves that lovers who are meant to be together will be together, no matter what. We wish the newly married and forever-in-love couple a lifetime of love, togetherness, and happiness.
